Retreats Introduction

The Flat and Facilities

The flat at Lochend comprises the whole upstairs of the farmhouse, giving you two large rooms and ensuit with large shower, fabulous views over the loch and sea, and gently rolling farmland.

You have as much privacy and alone time as you need, but company nearby when you want it. Though our Furkids - two collies and three cats - will treat you like family from the start.

We have done our best to provide you with a home away from home - a comfortable, safe space where; a place of peace and healing

Kitchen Amenities

Everything we could think of to make your stay perfect, including toaster, kettle, caffetiere and tea pot...

refrigerator/freezer, combination oven, hotplate.

General Amenities

  • Towels and bed linen are provided, hand and tea towels for the kitchen, basic cleaning materials.
  • Heating and hot water are included
  • We have provided a television with a DVD player (and a collection DVDs), however the television does not have an aerial, as we expect that you will wish to escape from normal life, news, and the usual television programming for a while
  • Washing, drying facilities are available on request.
  • Access to Wifi
  • Diverse library for relaxation and inspiration

  • Therapies for relaxation in including various massage techniques, reflexology, reiki

  • Bird watching - Orkney has an astonishing diversity of feathered visitors

  • Charming villages, and great shopping and eateries - especially in Kirkwall
