Ashnews 24 - High Summer 2007

Hi,
I would like to thank everyone who took the time to answer our survey about how to improve the newsletter and website.
As you'll see we have been very busy with the new design. We have also been busy in our newly extended garden. The fence is up, the drainage trench and pipes are in - and the hole is all filled up, so it is all feeling very connected and whole.
All the furkids are loving it, and have been a big help. Tree planting will go on all summer and autumn, and we trust that our shelter belt and wildlife haven will soon be evident. Donations of wee trees, shrubs, perennial cuttings and seeds very welcome!
Wishing you all the best - and hope to see you soon.
Derby
P.S. We have a delightful new addition to our family. Dana is a fetching wee brown and white border collie, who is growing daily!
For those of you contemplating a puppy of your own, do read my article on the Best Puppy Foods, and how to select them.
P.P.S. There is a picture of Dana in the gallery

As a friend or visitor to Ashwhin Balanced Living Centre, or someone who has expressed an interest in us or our website, you are being sent this newsletter.

Dunstaffnage Mains FarmAshwhin Newsletter is sent out 5-8 times a year with three articles of interest, events coming soon and a wee newsy note from Derby

We also will occasionally send out special reminders for last minute bookings at the retreat, offers on essences and shop items, and invitations to events - if you'd like to receive these reminders, please take a moment or two to alter your details on our newsletter sign up.

Thanks to the inspiration of our wonderful new friend, Jane Bell, Ashwhin Retreat has evolved from simply an Holistic Retreat to a Personal Retreat - Find out how and why

New Look for Ashwhin

We hope that you'll now find our website much easier to find your way around Here are the biggest changes:-

Self-discovery contains all the therapies and training, as this is what you DO here;

the articles are better categorised, and

the essence pages have been radically stream-lined.

We have added a Gallery,

and you have the option of downloading several pages as pdfs. There will be more tweaking in the future, but I'm hoping that the basics are now sorted. And, of course we hope that you love the new look and feel of the site. Thanks to Tes, Trev, John and Vic for their invaluable feedback!

Free Essence Selection Service

With two wonderful ranges of flower essences that together offer you a choice of 45 great blends, we know that figuring the right essence for you (or a friends or family member) is one challenge too much.

Problem solved - let me advise you. I'll normally get back to you within 48 hours Max - except if I'm away on holiday.

Witch Hikers Guide

At last, a brave and valiant soul has taken on the mammoth task of collecting details on all things alternative, spiritual, inspirational, green and fun in Scotland! Nicky MacKay has launched both a fabulous magazine and great website with the goal of "Being the definitive resource for all things Mind, Body & Spirit in Scotland"

I hope that you will all visit her website http://www.witchhikersguide.co.uk, and support Witch Hikers in some way. They really deserve our help and networking is just what they need. The second magazine in due out in August, and Ashwhin is of course a distribution point.

Coming Up

We are planning to include videos on the website (as many people have said they would like these), but we really need your feedback first! What would you like to see? A tour of the garden? Andy and Jessie playing? Views? Do you think a wee bit of talking head about Ashwhin would be helpful?

PLEASE let me know what you would like to see!

We plan to have a new and better on-line shop up for the end of the year - again, your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. We will be using Zen Cart - if you use it, please get in touch.
